Rosemary Dekker's intimate photo series investigates the mother-son relationship in Naples, Italy. The photos tell about the complexity of these relationships from love to hate, from support to soffocating dynamics. Rosemary places her research in the local, cultural context, and shows with her images how these personal relationships are embedded in the atmosphere of the city and in archaic religious motives.
